The ACT SES volunteers, in their orange SES uniforms, have been very busy assisting the community. An example of some of their major community activities include providing assistance to the ACT Ambulance Service at New Year’s Eve, Australia Day Concert, Australia Day Celebrations and the Multicultural Festival. They have also assisted the community at many other events including the Convoy for Cancer, and other community events. ACT SES Volunteers have also deployed to assist the people of the NSW & Q’ld after the storms and flooding in those areas.
Fundraising
As the ACTSESVA is not funded or subsidised by the government, it does rely on the communities’ generosity for financial support, and to gain this support 4Mile is providing call centre services for raffles run by the National SES Volunteer Association.
The monies raised from this fundraising in the ACT will go to support our volunteers in a variety of ways including providing top-up insurance, financial support for attendance at forums, conferences, equipment and training courses that are not generally funded by the ACT SES but that develop the resilience and capability of ACT SES volunteers.

Raffle
The National State Emergency Serice Volunteers Association (NSESA) conducts raffles on behalf of the ACT State Emergency Service Volunteers Association (ACTSESVA). The generous support of people throughout the ACT who purchase our raffle tickets or donate is very much appreciated.

Funds raised in our Territory go to supporting State Emergency Service Volunteers in that Territory through programs operated by the ACTSESVA to:

Where necessary the National State Emergency Service Volunteers Association Ltd. holds fundraising licenses in this Territory.
